Music Bio
After discovering her love for the neo-soul and contemporary jazz world following her move to London, the experienced jazz and soul vocalist - previously performing under the name Amelia Hope - relaunched her musical project as Amanda Marie in 2022.

Amanda holds a Diploma in Songwriting from BIMM (formerly Tech Music School) in Fulham, London, accredited by the University of West London. Her training covered the full spectrum of skills required by an independent recording artist - from music in context and lyric writing to performance, genre studies, music theory, composition, production, mixing and mastering.

Alongside her artistic development, Amanda has also worked as a private vocal coach since 2016, helping singers develop their voice through a combination of contemporary vocal techniques, stylistic interpretation and performance practice.

Among several prestigious venues and events, Amanda Marie’s performance highlights include appearances at Boisdale Canary Wharf, joining the Macusi Players at the Ealing Jazz Festival, where the lineup supported Tony Allen and Zara McFarlane, and showcasing original material at Prince of Peckham for Jazzmo’thology, supporting Jean-Philippe Dary and Steve Williamson.

She has also performed internationally, including engagements in France and Croatia, and was invited to perform at the High Wycombe Jazz Festival, where she presented a set of unreleased original compositions alongside the talented local band MLN Ensemble.

Amanda has headlined her own charity jazz concert near Liverpool Street in support of the Turkish children affected by the Soma mining disaster, collaborated with legendary UK pianist Jack Honeyborne, and performed as part of the Malta National New Year’s Eve Celebrations 2022 with the Brass House Unit, performing live to an audience of over 50,000 and broadcast on national television.

Earlier in her career while based in Malta, Amanda was regularly featured across national press, radio and television, performing live on TV and serving as a judge on televised singing competitions. She has also performed a private three-hour jazz set for renowned Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja at an exclusive event.

With new material currently in development, Amanda Marie continues to shape a contemporary sound that blends modern jazz, neo-soul and improvisational expression.
