Amanda Marie’s visual art practice began in her early teens when she studied art in school. Preparing for her Art GCSE involved over three years of training across drawing, still life and the study of influential artists and techniques. Her final portfolio explored animal subjects inspired by Van Gogh, combining expressive forms with swirling, textured backgrounds influenced by his distinctive brushwork.
Although her creative path later shifted toward music and professional life, her visual practice re-emerged during the pandemic while she was temporarily living in Malta after her London work contract ended. During lockdown she returned to painting, rediscovering and developing her artistic voice.
Within just a few months, her work gained unexpected momentum - she sold over 30 paintings and collaborated with a local furniture supplier to launch a gallery space where her work was exhibited alongside contemporary interior design pieces. Her paintings continue to be displayed in the showroom today.

Since returning to London, Amanda has continued producing commissioned work while expanding her artistic language.
Her style is predominantly abstract, often merging surreal narrative elements with cubist structure and minimalist composition. Her paintings are frequently characterised by vibrant palettes and expressive movement, creating emotionally resonant visual environments.
More recently, her work has explored abstract landscapes and architectural forms, as well as themes deeply connected to her personal experience - including duality, migration and identity. Many of her pieces reflect the paradox of belonging between places: the feeling of having two homes while simultaneously feeling rooted in neither.
Through colour, form and abstraction, Amanda Marie’s paintings seek to visualise the emotional landscapes that exist between memory, identity and place.
