The Story Behind This Art

Music has a way of expressing what words cannot. It transcends generations, cultures and boundaries, connecting us through something deeply human.

The Golden Six is my tribute to the timeless elegance, soul and spirit of jazz.

Through six musicians, each immersed in their craft, this collection captures the beauty of individuality within harmony. The saxophonist, double bassist, trumpeter, drummer, pianist and guitarist each have their own voice, yet together they create something greater than the sum of their parts.

The geometric compositions reflect the structure and rhythm of music, while the layered textures represent its depth, emotion and complexity. The contrast of black, warm neutrals and shimmering gold evokes the intimacy of a jazz club, the sophistication of a bygone era and the enduring glamour of live performance.

The imitation gold leaf symbolises the preciousness of artistic expression and the moments that music makes unforgettable. As light moves across each canvas, the textured gold catches it differently, bringing a subtle sense of movement and life to the artwork.

As both a visual artist and a jazz and soul singer, music is an integral part of my creative identity. The Golden Six brings these two worlds together, translating the sounds, emotions and atmosphere of jazz into something that can be experienced visually.

The paintings have been created to complement one another, forming a cohesive collection that makes a striking statement when displayed together. Equally, each piece has its own character and can stand beautifully on its own.

The Golden Six is available as a complete collection for £3,000, or as individual original paintings for £500 each, with frames included (prices for other sizes can be discussed). Shipping is calculated separately.
